Chocolate Cake in a Mug
Has this recipe been over-blogged? I hope not, because I recently discovered it and have to share. You know those "Warm Delight" things they sell at the grocery store? Just add water, microwave and voila! Chocolate Cake. Well, here is the do-it-yourself-from-everyday-ingredients-you-already-have version and I must say, I am a fan.
So is my son. This is my first-born, the apple of my eye. Isn't he a doll?
But back to the recipe. I found two different recipes floating around blogosphere. The first is pictured at the top of this post, courtesy of this blog. When I made it, it wasn't nearly as pretty as the picture, but it definitely tasted the best. The second recipe is in the picture with my son. It puffed up beautifully but ended up tasting a little dry. Nothing a little ice cream wouldn't fix!
Either of these recipes make a great fast treat when you just have to have chocolate cake NOW!

Oh my. . . yummy!
ReplyDeleteI was a little skeptical about whether or not this recipe would work. I just had to prove it to myself. I was amazed. It actually tasted like chocolate cake and had the same consistency. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing, Rebecca? I have to confess, I've made this probably 3 times in the past week, just because I can. Haha. I'm so glad you are enjoying the blog. I was just thinking the other day about flute lessons that ended up being hours long because we just couldn't stop chatting. :-)
